Storm’s a-brewing.

This piece was inspired by my favorite painting in the Saint Louis Art Museum, Sadak in Search of the Waters of Oblivion. The painting is mostly a rusty red mountain-scape over the titular Sadak as he struggles to climb a ledge, but in the background there is a thin, green line leading to a glowing, green…space on the cliff side. That part in the painting captivated me, and for a long time I saw it as a bolt of lightning darting out of red, turbulent clouds.
