The lonely witch stood still on the balcony as the world she built up for herself began to shatter.

I like to make characters in my art. This young lady is Sylf, a witch who had been looking in the wrong places for a comforting home. The sky has a checkered pattern, a motif I used in this piece to give a dream-like feeling to this scene. Sylf is cut-off from the sky, the rest of the world, which is beyond the checkered pattern, while she wishes to distance herself from the dark castle behind her.
