Keeping your feet on the ground was never an option. What greater heights can you reach for other than sending your entire city to the sky? Just make sure not to fall off the sidewalk or horse around in the balloon gondolas when traveling from neighborhood to neighborhood.
This was a study on two-point perspective for one of my college drawing classes. Nearly every art class I had taken—from elementary school to college—had some sort of perspective assignment in it where the students had to draw blocks or a street in a town or a hallway… I admit that I had gotten a bit fed up of them. Instead of doing the minimum and just drawing more boxes in space, I decided to turn it into a flying, steampunk city.
